TFG knows people are turning on him now, and talking,

And is pre-emptively admitting what he's done , and desperately trying to spin it to make himself look good, and accusing others, and calling for their being investigations of them, and he is being victimized unfairly. He's done this before trying to con his followers, again, but its working less and less as his donors dry up, and the GOP abandons him. TFG is losing power, money, and followers now, and is desperately trying to stop what's happening, but can't.

When he admits stuff, he knows that its coming out, so he spins it for himself while attacking those that are telling the truth about him. Only this time his tactics are backfiring on him, and putting him in more legal jeopardy. Expect outlandish lawsuits coming, personal attacks against all involved with criminal investigations, and threats with suggestive calls of violence for him. TFG is almost finished.

Today is day 50 since DOJ received the Mark Meadows criminal referral and day 22 since the Michigan AG gave them the fake elector criminal referral.

If DOJ isn't going to indict Meadows for ignoring a subpoena there is no way in hell it is going to investigate Trump.

Meadows has filed a law suit claiming executive privilege, claiming that the select committee is illegal. My guess is that DOJ is waiting to see how the courts rule. I guess the SC is going to rule in favor of Meadows even though his request for executive privilege was done in the commission of crimes, even though president Biden has ruled no executive privilege.

Still waiting for DOJ to arrest one person who is a politician, friend of Trump, legal counsel for Trump, former Trump cabinet member, Trump. I believe that Garland believes he is not allowed to indict a former president. No he did not say if the facts warrant it he would indict Trump, listen closely to his speech.

32. I heard something different in the A.G.'s speech
Thu Feb 3, 2022, 08:46 AM
Feb 2022

We build investigations by laying a foundation. We resolve more straightforward cases first because they provide the evidentiary foundation for more complex cases.

Investigating the more overt crimes generates linkages to less overt ones. Overt actors and the evidence they provide can lead us to others who may also have been involved. And that evidence can serve as the foundation for further investigative leads and techniques.

In circumstances like those of January 6th, a full accounting does not suddenly materialize. To ensure that all those criminally responsible are held accountable, we must collect the evidence.

We follow the physical evidence. We follow the digital evidence. We follow the money.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/speech/attorney-general-merrick-b-garland-delivers-remarks-first-anniversary-attack-capitol

The A.G. also talked about the use of violence and the threats of violence and that will not be tolerated. I think
w/TFG spreading lies to get people angry and threatening the use of mob violence he crossed the line which
the A.G. laid out.

Getting him won't mean nearly as much to me unless they get those who enabled him.
There's not nearly as much discussion about that.
Who Trump is and what Trump is was known long before he was elected.
It was abundantly clear once again each time he was impeached.
His enablers helped him avoid impeachment.
His enablers are keeping him relevant now to avoid scrutiny for their role and scrutiny of his replacement.
When he gets punted to the curb before 2024, they'll introduce their shinny new puppet and carry on.

As another poster said, the Coup planners need to be indicted, including politicians and former Trump counsel and former Trump cabinet members. DOJ needs to make Trump toxic and I don't see that happening. Soon it will be too close to the election to do anything and then if they cheat to win the 2022 election it will be all the harder for DOJ to prosecute the traitors.

Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, American oligarchs will fund all of the traitors.

That 1 million dollars that Trump gave to Mark Meadows right after the select committee was formed, I guarantee wasn't his own money.

It is a proven fact that Trump doesn't give his money away, but he found a way to get hush money to Meadows, and the DOJ won't indict Meadows even for ignoring a subpoena.

I think this greatly underestimates Trump and the damage he can cause going forward.

Even if charges are eventually brought against him, he can kick the can down the road for a long time. His model is the same one that Teflon Don used, the legal strategy of the sick and evil Mafia lawyer Roy Cohn. Deny, lie, obfuscate and keep throwing money at it.

And even if Trump was actually jailed (which IMO is highly unlikely in his lifetime) that would give an enormous boost to the Fascist Right as he will be the ultimate martyr for the cause.

Trump will never be "finished", even after he takes the dirt nap. The damage he caused to our country will be with us for generations to come.

every. single. day. every. single. hour. he's ginning up the rhetoric for one purpose and it's working.

just because Lindsey Graham came out and poo'd poo'd that psychopath for dangling pardons, is absolutely meaningless at this juncture. Today or tomorrow or next Lindsey will come out licking his ass and reversing everything he said on Monday. Silence from the rest of the GOP is just that. It isn't a rebuke, it isn't action against him. All goodwill and financial support will be pouring into his pockets as long as he is free and able to roam freely.

You can take to the bank.

Every single day he is able to open that putrid mouth of his through his various bullhorns, he is gaining strength and momentum.

We ignore this fact at our own peril.

We can't fix what's broken if we do not recognize this fundamental fact, and understand he is successfully running out the clock.

Former President Donald Trump announced Monday night that his political committees raised more than $51 million over the second half of last year, to buttress what is now a massive $122 million war chest.

Trump's latest fundraising haul is a drop from the first half of last year, when his various committees together raised a total of $82 million from January through June of 2021.
