Trump had planned and "gamed" it all out from the very beginning

'Scam from the very beginning': Morning Joe explains how newly revealed memos expose Trump's 'intent' to steal the election

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said the latest reports on Donald Trump's efforts to undo his election loss show it was a "scam" from the start.

Newly revealed legal memos show the twice-impeached one-term president's allies intended to send alternate electors as early as mid-November, as part of an effort to pressure vice president Mike Pence to undo an election loss that wasn't officially determined at that point, and the "Morning Joe" host said that revealed the entire effort was bogus from the start.

"What were they doing?" Scarborough said. "Look at the states where he was claiming there were scam results. Wisconsin had a Republican legislature, Pennsylvania had a Republican legislature, Michigan had a Republican legislature. We said on this show months ahead of time, counted Election Day, count all of the votes Election Day, because there was a proposal to do it like Florida does, or else this is exactly what is going to happen and it happened."

Using the term "scam" minimizes what Trump and the leaders of the Radical Right did in the election of 2020, and what they will do in 2024 and 2028 and elections into the future.

This was a treasonous, seditious PLAN and it was pretty well executed, even in this trial run in 2020.

Media outlets are still terrified to use the "F" word and the "T" and "S" words, still afraid to tell the truth. Sedition. Treason. Fascism.

They still softpedal the truth and at the end of the day when the modern day equivalent of the Gestapo steps into their offices to silence them it will be far too late.

They need to be called traitors. It needs to be called an attempted coup to overthrow our democracy. I take that back, the insurrection didn't end on 1/6, the insurrection continues stronger than ever with no coup planner being held accountable.

Media is scared to death to report the facts. These acts were treasonous and seditious. Trump movement and today's Republican party is effectively a Fascist organization. I get really sick of watching these entertainers dance around the truth because it might upset someone.

You can convince them that an election was stolen without a scintilla of proof and further convince them to channel their inner righteousness that something was stolen from them that properly belonged to them.

This is a huge brainwash experiment and there is no lack of lackies.

to stop ignoring that ongoing problem. limbaugh wont be there to excuse trump and the treasonous cons but leaving the 1500 now no so coordinated radio stations to keep beating up on biden and the next supreme is very bad strategy

of sycophants who followed trump and licked his ass

imo trump has a classic very bad case of sex on the wrong brain, like hitler and other authoritarian leaders. TFGs brain can't recognize uncertainty, doubt, nuance and there is no imagination to imagine consequences and failure. everything has to be certain, final. he denies anything else. life is a game of golf - just going from one hole to the next. he sees something and he just goes for it and because he grew up very rich no one ever punched it out of him, and it just got worse and worse. he learned to deny anything that didn't fit the scenario in which he was king of the world.

that royal i'm never wrong certitude is a drug for frightened authoritarians who depend on leaders to simplify the world in absolutes to help them create certainty and avoidd the uncertainties and complications that frighten and stress them.

for trump losing the election was completely impossible to imagine. the smarter racist fascist assholes around him fed him possibilities and he told them to do it. just like when after the intel briefers told him COVID could kill millions and worse case he would have to take all sorts of emergency power and cancel elections etc - so he WANTED it to get worse - he told limbaugh to call it a hoax and guys like stephen miller and son in law and donjr would come up with all sorts of stupid ways to turn a pandemic into a moneymaker.

They are complicit and have been taking Russian money laundered through the NRA for at least two decades. They are all a little bit dirty with Russian money. That’s how it works in NY real estate also… everyone has their hands out and they are all a little dirty. So I do think they are down for all of this.

...he chose not to. Instead, he preferred to go a different route, with the fraudulent electors. He seems to have made up his mind at that time that Mike Pence could be persuaded to carry out his wishes. He could have asked for legal recounts and did not. Why? Because he knew the only way he could possibly stay in office was to steal the election from Joe Biden and overturn the votes of 81 million Americans.
