There is a new Trump document with a plan to appoint a military lawyer to seize NSA data to justify his claims of election fraud.
One of the military lawyers, Frank Colon, is still a military lawyer. Um, he needs to be court martialed.
I hate to post from Raw Story with its ads but;

(31,823 posts)It will be interesting to see if what Mr. Colon 'says' is the truth of the matter.
*The plan called for Trump to ask acting secretary of defense Christopher Miller to seize the NSA unprocessed raw signals data and tap Del Rosso, former National Security Council member Richard Higgins and an Army lawyer named Frank Colon to do the review.
*Colon, however, said he had never heard of the plan and has no idea who Del Rosso is. Colon currently serves as a civilian legal adviser assigned to a military intelligence brigade headquartered at Fort Meade in Maryland, home to NSA. Miller similarly said he had never heard of the plan.
*Del Rosso sent the memo to Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-N.D.) after the pair met at a Jan. 4 meeting on election interference claims that was hosted by My Pillow magnate Mike Lindell, my colleagues report. He also sent it to Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), who was then chair of the Senate Homeland Security Committee.
*NSA collects a wide range of foreign electronic data, ranging from emails and phone calls to satellite data. The spy agency is barred from targeting U.S.-based peoples communications without a court order.

(4,298 posts)Those in power don't seem concerned enough to me. If they are or were concerned this would have been exposed months ago and Colon would have been court martialed if he knew about this and did not blow the whistle.

(31,823 posts)I know my dad had a 20 year gag put on him when he left the army as a Special Forces officer.
He might not have been ABLE to say anything until asked.
Again - we don't know - but I agree. That's extremely concerning. In particular for the families of Soldiers and CIA who may be at severe risk if the wrong information gets out there.

(16,254 posts)Seems funny to me that when things heated up about that part of the investigation (delay of help from Guard), he was given a promotion and moved to Hawaii.
Coincidence?

How the hell did he get that promotion? Perhaps I should say...place to hide? Out of sight/out of mind.
