I thought we were done with those propaganda messages for a while since the open enrollment window expired in December.

(6,439 posts)Open enrollment does have a finite window. I didn't know what initial enrollment was, and I was almost ready to panic as open enrollment was ending because I needed to choose a Part D and a Part G supplement plan.
Medicare Advantage is a scheme to 'WalMart' real Medicare out of existence. No way was I going to help with that.

(1,075 posts)We have had original medicare plus supplement (G) and a prescription plan D for several years. We would not even consider changing. We only pay the part B deductible each year AND THAT IS ALL! No copays! Our supplement has been excellent and has hardly increased in the 7 years we have had it. Most importantly, we can go to ANY doctor that accepts Medicare. NO NETWORKS. For a serious condition, it is crucial to be able to see the best available imo.

No disrepect meant to either of these gentlemen. I realize they both need to make a living. But the sound of either of their voices screeching, "CALL NOW!" is like a fingernail on a chalkboard to me at this point. Enough, already! 🙉
