(15,642 posts)of voter fraud and irregularities" fuck-face. 88 or whatever ridiculous number of lawsuits challenging results in 15, 20 or so different States and not one fucking inkling of evidence to support any one of those those frigging lawsuits?! Who the fuck do you think all those of us who aren't frigging mindless magats -- the vast majority of Americans by the way -- are??

(24,455 posts)Surely, he will want to use the platform to explain his reasoning and rebut the questions that they will ask. Afterall, people with something to hide, plead the the 5th, right Donald?

(14,853 posts)If he declared himself to be God enough times, I think he'd actually believe it eventually.
He doesn't respect evidence, but whatever pops into his head that feeds his voracious ego.

(24,455 posts)that works when you aren't under oath....like everything he's doing now. But bring that ego and swagger to the 1/6 committee....lets see how Trump gets fileted. His lawyers will tell him to plead the 5th. That is all we will hear from Donald Trump. And his Rubes will wonder why?
Buckeye_Democrat
(14,853 posts)... then he'd probably take an oath to tell the truth, followed by him making that assertion to the committee with no qualms.
He's had unjustified power and praise from various butt-kissers his entire life, like kings of old.
His lawyers will probably prevail with their 5th pleas, though.

(24,455 posts)Media is gonna love the sizzle, think political Super Bowl! The actual game will be a total catastrophe for Team Trump. Gonna get really ugly, I'm afraid.....for them. But next year, could be a whole different story....depends on the US voting IQ.

(50,555 posts)The lawyers probably will tell him to plead the Fifth, but the odds of him doing it are really low. Rather, he's going to go in there screaming about voter fraud and defective machines and Hugo Chavez and every other thing he can think of. The panel will pronounce him insane and tear him into bite-size strips.

(24,455 posts)Think Political Superbowl. Both sides have a strong team and evenly matched. Pump the ratings and frame it as a Confederate Football Team (CFT) against the the National Football Team (NFT). The CFT has all of the psycho/crazy players....but the NFT has the law on it's side. Who will win?

(50,555 posts)That's because raving lunatics are good for ratings.

(25,241 posts)He knows that Kamala Harris could potentially use this against him if we get to that point in 2024 given what he wanted Pence to do in the 2020 election. Remember he thinks that Pence could have prevented Biden from becoming President and he would win - so he's made the leap to 2024 and now thinks Harris could do the same to him.
So what a better way to handle this is to say that the Dems want to change the rules so that the VP can't upset an election the way he was hoping that Pence would do it for him. Essentially goading them to modify and make clear language to prevent that from ever happening.
He can't have Harris potentially disqualify him electorally - but if rules are put in place to specifically make it clear that the VP can't have anything to do with selecting a president - that worry of his goes away.
So rules are put into place to prevent that from happening. The Repugs and TFG rig the election so he wins - and he knows full well - with these new rules in that Kamala Harris can't touch him. And guess what he had the Dems make those changes - and he looks blameless.
You know that right now he's thinking that the way things stand right now - that Kamala Harris can potentially stand in his way.
This is convoluted. I keep putting the emphasis on 'he thinks' cause that's how his mind is working. He convinced himself that Pence could have changed the course of history and the election. We know different.

There were NO obvious signs of voter fraud or irregularities. None. Zip. All words, no evidence.
Therefore, the conclusion is based on a false premise.
Trump is basing his defense on a WHAT IF supposition that has not and can not be proven.
C'mon DOJ. Get this instigator out of our lives or he'll never be out of our lives.
