10. And reality.

It amuses me (in a frustrating way) how many people believe that the wheels of justice and the execution of due-process will all play out as quickly and cleanly as it happens in three-act television crime/courtroom dramas. That's simply not reality. It angers me how those same individuals will use that lack of understanding as justification for attacking President Biden and his cabinet/administration as well as our Democratic leaders in congress, by insinuating that they don't care; or that they're incompetent; or that they're lazy; or that they're corrupt; or that they're complicit... It's just a shitty thing to do.

a date was set for the trial. I didn't remember the date, though, so I used the interwebs to search for that.

I'm a bit impatient with people who are ostensibly following the news, but who can't remember much about the news for more than an hour or two. I'm a bit impatient with people who post here and there asking others to do their Google searches for them, as well.

And, as you say, the goal seems to be to imply that nothing is being done by the DOJ or other federal LEOs. That's not true, of course, and it's very easy to find out what has been done already in a particular case. So, my assumption is that not actually looking things up lets some people imply that nothing is happening and cast doubt on the process.

That, to me, seems deliberate on the part of some. I don't like it, so my sarcasm sometimes shows a little.

And yes, I believe it IS deliberate... just a way to shit on Biden and Democrats.

In many ways, this is what it reminds me of...

clear enough to me that there are people here who are trying to sow discord and disappointment. That is not how we win elections in midterm years. So, I'm suspicious of anyone who is trying to discourage Democrats in any way.

Again, I can't prove it in individual cases, but I wasn't born yesterday (or any time recently) and I've seen this kind of crap before, many times. Even before the Internet, there were always people trying to discourage Democrats from working on elections. The Internet just makes it easier to reach out to spread discontent.

What useful purpose does it serve? It's just another example of how people are oddly willing to do and say things that create an atmosphere of fear and hopelessness and negativity. Negativity generates apathy. Apathy discourages voter turnout. Low voter turnout gives Republicans a chance to steal the elections.

Legally, I mean. He has not been convicted of anything, so there's no legal way to keep him from using social media.

He'd be a fool to spout off on social media outlets, of course, but that doesn't mean he won't.

...an interloper? A non-Democrat? A non-Democratic supporter just here to stir things up and generate apathy?

None of the above.

Forgetful? Yea I guess. Google too, very often does NOT render the amount of information one can get from fellow DUers, so there's that.

SILLY ME believing I could ask a question here and get an answer that is more than Google (it happens often), or that I could be human and be forgetful.

WOW.

I've been on DU since 2001 (different user name), so being accused of being some interloper here to just generate apathy is really nasty.

Yep I forgot the Bannon contempt timeline. Yea I know Google. But DUers know more. So I asked.

Guess that was my mistake.

Here's a HINT: Don't accuse unless you know or are at least fairly certain. Oh. And don't kick your fellow Democrats in the head for being human, forgetful and turning to DU for help since it is in fact a quite reliable source of info (moreso that Google I dare say).
