I am not an R, of course, but I think that his chances are null to zero.
I don't remember another ineffectual V.P in the past 70 years, or so. We usually point to Walter Mondale to become the first active V.P., almost a co-president. But even Nixon, as Eisenhower's would travel the world to meet with foreign leaders.
All Pence did was to be the shadow, to mimic everything that his master did. I don't think that he was ever sent, alone, to any function, a funeral, or something.

(21,753 posts)What puzzles me is where did Pence get tickets for Hamilton. At the time, it was a hot ticket and folks had to wait forever to get in.
Pence was living in Indiana, not known as an area where you can scoop up hot tickets on short notice.

(22,035 posts)Producers almost always have extra tickets (house seats) available in the event someone important wants to show up. A shows creatives and some cast members also get house seats made available up to 48-72 hours prior to a performance.
Additionally, if the VP is attending, it would be planned significantly in advance for security and publicity reasons.
By the way, house seats are never free in that someone ultimately pays for them.

(12,257 posts)square long table with shithole at the helm and Pence sitting to the right of him. shithole took his bottle of water off the table to the floor (I guess) and Pence did the same with his bottle of water. I knew then Pence was weak.
Pence knew at least he could not overturn the Constitution and thereby complied with it. I'll give him credit for that.
As Presidential material, no.

(47,419 posts)Pence was never a terribly appealing candidate. He has no discernable personality or charisma. So very forgettable.
