Trigger warning: medical details
A friend of mine went to California for Christmas season. I was worried. He's vaxxed and boosted and so is his wife and kids, but still it seemed too dangerous to me to travel.
He told me today his brother-in-law died today. He got sick right after Christmas and was in the hospital the whole time. He was 55 with two sons, 10 and 12. He said to me "sorry to say he was a major trumper" and that "he was not vaxxed. said he would never take it." His wife got vaxxed "for her job" and also caught covid, and she barely felt sick at all.
He said they "tried everything" on him. Ventilators, tracheotomy, infusions. At the end his organs failed and he "turned yellow" when his liver failed. His children couldn't be there when he died because they "didn't want to see him like that."
He also told me he "drank and smoked" a lot.
I mean... sure okay, not going to put that vaccine shit in my body, but I'll take that well tested and safe cigarette?
Just goes to show what bullshit all the anti-vax reasons are. All of it is just fucking tribalism and not doing it just because you think the liberals want you do.
Didn't say it to my friend but........... no sympathy for him from me. I feel for his wife and kids, but him? One less drumpf voter in 2024, again. I'm glad his wife was sensible enough to get vaxxed, so at least his stupidity didn't turn his kids into orphans.
What a fucking idiot.

(32,489 posts)two age 60ish women. #1 did you ever get vaxxed. #2... noooo... (some mumbled excuses) #1 "and you hugged me!?"
I can't believe how much damage Trump has caused. prior to his sick presidency, vaccinations never would have been politicized and questioned.

That in itself was risky.

(9,030 posts)Of course. Of course he was. He couldnt take the vaccine, but he sure could take up valuable space in an overflowing hospital.
No sympathy, except for the people who had to take care of him.

i guess i think that about all the morons who could have and should have gotten vaccinated but refused to and ended up dropping dead from it. (what a fucking asshole...)
but when that person is a parent & when their kids are young (kids up to 20 years old) it really pisses me off and that's when i think: what a fucking ASSHOLE!!
i see you called him "a fucking idiot" but i think those people are assholes b/c they think it's worth making their trumpshit political antivax statement/protest rather than protecting themselves for the sake of their kids and even protecting their kids. (the fucking ASSHOLE!!)

(100,131 posts)Because they believe the anti-vax propaganda. Maybe we don't need to worry about 2024 at this rate.
