ass. They all know he can’t legitimately win, they don’t really want to nominate him. But if he decided to run as an independent he would totally hose the R candidate.

Most voters don't care who the candidate is, they just vote for the Republican or the Democratic candidate. At least ~47% of the voters will vote for the Republican whether it's Trump, DeSantis, Cruz or someone else. Republicans will use scare tactics like saying that Biden is a socialist who wants to teach school kids critical race theory. And those scare tactics will work on a large percentage of the population. People may not like or support Trump, but they'll vote for him to keep a Democrat out of office.

If there happens to be a red wave, or if Biden and Harris becomes toxic, we could very well see Trump getting a second term.

DeSantis worries me more than anyone. He's Trump without the obvious negatives.

If Trump is able to run, he will run. If he is able to run, the Republicans will have no choice but to nominate him. If they don't, they can write off half of their voters. If they don't nominate him, and he still decides to run, they have the same problem.

I think that Trump believes that if he runs again, he will be elected and that he would serve for life with powers undreamed of by previous presidents.

8. My take is that he will say he's running until

about January or February of 2024. Then he'll suddenly claim the Democrats will rig the election, and he won't have any part of it. There will be a huge scramble among Republicans to get the nomination, and they'll be so divided there will be no chance of the nominee winning the election.

But my question was somewhat rhetorical. The point is I think he is too stupid to see the contradiction in what he is saying (the VP can decide who wins the election) and what he is doing (running for president).

Too bad no republican has enough of a spine to point this out to him and the world.

Never go accusing tfg of making a rational decision. OK?

Anyhow, they have a couple of years to invent a reason why Pence could change the result and Kamala can't. It will be wrong, it will be bizarre and it will be unconstitutional. That hasn't stopped him before.

Basically I see Trump as a spoiled five year old child. I don't think he has any skill needed by the republicans behind him except the willingness to sign anything they put in front of him without reading or comprehending it.

His niece, Mary, thinks I'm being generous because she says his emotional development was arrested at age two and a half.
