Nazi, authoritarian, etc. I am sure many could add to the list.
So, I looked up synonym online. Here is what I found as the definition:
a word or phrase that means exactly or nearly the same as another word or phrase in the same language, for example shut is a synonym of close.
a person or thing so closely associated with a particular quality or idea that the mention of their name calls it to mind.
Here is what is listed for republican on synomyn.com: egalitarian, anti-royalist, anti-monarchist, anti-fascist, rational. These should really be antonyms (a word opposite in meaning to another (e.g. bad and good ). These are certainly not what I think of when i see the word republican

To be republican is to be anti-democratic and they are!
Republicans assaulting and limiting, essentially negating democratic voting.
Republicans are Anti-Americans, or as they prefer to be called, Pro-Putin-iskis.
