There is a massive campaign by the Republicans to revise history re: Jan 6

Shortly after 1/6, several Republican politicians came out and blamed Trump as being responsible for the attack on the Capital. Within a week, they started backtracking. But lately I've been hearing more and more about how it wasn't that bad, or it was the fault of Pelosi, or the Capital police were not prepared. It looks like the official response now is that it was "legitimate political discourse."

We know that the Republicans will come out with a forceful reply to the Jan 6 House Committee final report. I hope the House report is so strong to offset what they're going to say. I don't expect any major player or planner of the coup attempt to suffer any repercussions. I just hope history is able to state what really happened.

Most people know who is responsible. Most GOPers don't care, particularly trumpsters. Hoyt Feb 2022 #2
