Legal question: Can you be charged with multiple counts when destroying official WH documents.

Trump more than likely destroyed hundreds, if not thousands of official records. Do they all have to be included in one count, one charge? Or could he be charged with multiple counts.

I have a gut feeling this is going to turn into a bigger news story. This is a big deal.

As explained to me by several people who worked for the Air Force -- each piece of information that violates a clearance rule is up to ten years and ten thousand dollars. I would surmise that records acts work like secrecy acts.

If there were a prosecutor willing to pursue it, which is unlikely at this point given the mountain of other offenses for which he's more likely to be indicted.

Perhaps it will, or perhaps it is already under consideration with a little oomph since the actual hard evidence arrived. We are only given a little info at a time to keep it from becoming too overwhelming to the public. I suspect a lot of what we want to see the committee do is already under way, we just aren't being informed until the time is right for that info to be made public.

I see too much doubting of those doing the work currently. I think they are doing just what is needed but not spilling the beans every day like those being investigated.

Wait till we here the testimony of witnesses who witnessed Trump destroy, burn documents. What was in those documents?

It has been reported many Whitehouse staff are cooperating with the committee. What kind of evidence have they turned over to the committee?
