sitting here on a Monday morning, reading through news, I realize we don't engage in lots -

Spotify - don't use
Twitter - don't use
Facebook - don't use
TV - don't watch

And I don't feel like I am missing a thing.

Got one of our dogs sitting on my lap as I type this, I've got the sense of the insanity out there from DU - I've got a garden blog posted, about to send out some seeds people want, then roast some coffee - then continue to plan my garden and ponder where we will hike tomorrow.

Unplugged, largely - and could not be happier.

Exceptions: I watched a lot of the Obama celebratory stuff in 2008. I watch every presidential inauguration, but that’s only a few minutes. Space events: Rocket launches, Mars rover landings, Space telescope deployment. Shit like that.

Other than that it’s been decades since I let talking heads selectively read me the news and tell me how to feel about it.

Lots of wonderful, deep, thoughtful, funny stuff streaming.
Your plan sounds OK there too though.
Facebook is excellent for keeping up with diverse group of friends and my dance community, though of course Zuckerberg sucks.
Twitter and Spotify no thanks.

I hate ads but I am tolerating them for on demand Resident Alien. Very good and fun show with Alan Tudyk
