Palin felt uncomfortable after 2010 meeting with Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, book reveals

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was so unsettled after a 2010 meeting with then-Fox News executive Roger Ailes that she told staff members she would not meet with him alone again, according to a new book from a New York Times journalist.

The revelation about the meeting between Palin and Ailes comes from an excerpt from Jeremy Peters’ forthcoming book, “Insurgency: How Republicans Lost Their Party and Got Everything They Ever Wanted.”

-snip-

After McCain and Palin lost the 2008 election, Palin became a conservative media darling and in 2010 joined Fox News as a paid contributor making $1 million a year, according to Peters.

But Peters reported that Ailes made Palin uncomfortable by commenting on her looks. After a 2010 one-on-one meeting, Palin emerged “looking white as a ghost,” and told aides, “I’m never meeting with him alone again.”

Always the creep. I'm no fan of Palin but even she doesn't deserve that. Rest in hell Ailes.

She was the original Bang Bang Barbie - and probably felt she and Boebert were soul mates.

If meeting with Ailes creeped her, just imagine some unknown walking in to a private meeting.

it's suddenly different when another p-grabber grabs at her?

No woman deserves it from anyone - merely pointing out the hypocrisy.

take the bad things that happen to them and realize it happens to others too. You know, gain a little sympathy and empathy. Just a wee bit of understanding.

Given how long-lasting and widespread his sexual harassment was though (by some accounts going back to the 80s), one would have hoped that someone would have warned her.

Palin was ok with being sexualized for the campaign.

That still does not excuse Aisles.
