I think you are right that some may be holding that role against Dornan. hlthe2b Feb 2022 #5
It is hard to see her as a serious actress, she is awful. redstatebluegirl Feb 2022 #7
Yeah.... I thought the movie/book was horrendous too, so I was being understated. hlthe2b Feb 2022 #9
I'm torn about Best Picture nuxvomica Feb 2022 #3

I do not understand how they could ignore that performance. I think making that soft porn trash fifty shades of grey that he made a few years ago has ruined him in the eyes of other actors. Truly unfair I think.

Ironically, it doesn't seem to me as though they hold it against Dakota Johnson which makes me wonder if she is just not considered a serious dramatic actress in comparison to Dornan?

One of those movies that's on my Netflix list that I promise I'll spend 2.5 hours watching one night, but somehow find anything else to do. No idea why, because it's supposed to be good.

But I just realized the Tragedy of Macbeth is on Apple+, so . . .

The only movies I hear about are those Marvel/ Super Hero “blockbusters”. WTH is “Licorice Pizza”? (thetorical question!)

I did see the Tammy Faye movie on Netflix and enjoyed it.
