I can't even come up with something to describe how fucked up that statement is.
My God!!!! He's not satisfied with polishing a turd, he's now trying to convince people they can pick it up by the "clean end".
Chuck Grassley being a Senator makes about a much sense as a football bat.
I am going to go drink heavily now.

(21,769 posts)Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley, a Republican, is hesitant to criticize actions taken by the Republican National Committee last week against two Republican members of the U.S. House.
The two were condemned and censured for serving on the House panel investigating the January 6th attack at the U.S. Capitol. Grassley was asked if he agrees with the RNCs resolution. Grassley says, I believe in what we call the big tent policy, that our national committee should be working hard to get Republicans elected.

(42,796 posts)Elegy do folks think its appropriate to put quotes around a statement that at best reflects a paraphrase or interpretation of the actual quote.
Not defending Grassley, who is an idiot, but what he actually said merely was an attempt to duck commenting on the censure. Thats cowardly but its not in words or meaning what is attributed to him by the OP
