While I consider any anti-Trump voices welcome, I find the former Republicans more

than a little difficult to accept at face value.

I'm admittedly biased and occasionally fit the "curmudgeon" stereotype for old white guys, but with the ex-GOP stalwarts, I can't get past "Where did you have your head stuck these past several decades?"

They did not know that a large percentage of their party was racist? Misogynistic? Homophobic? Antisemitic?

They did not know that the Limbaughs, Becks and Hannitys were simply nasty cheerleaders for the dregs of our society?

They did not know about the mean-spirited lies and hypocrisy and greed that have been the foundation of the "Grand Old Party" since Goldwater and Nixon and Reagan and Gingrich?

NOW they're ashamed?

I do believe in forgiveness and second chances, but it will take more than a sudden "one-eighty" to persuade me that either is yet merited.

"The more unhinged he becomes the better it is for us."

And THANK GOD he (meaning TFG) is NOT in office anymore - it was scary enough when he was without the building pressure he's now facing!

Love McTurtle dumping on TFG - but McTurtle is NOT doing it for us - he's doing it for his own self-preservation - and McTurtle being 'preserved' is still a slug stopping actual progress for the Biden/Democratic agenda.

We need to chop them ALL down, one-by-one, and get this country working again - and it ain't gonna' be easy!

A group of Republicans went into the Oval Office and told Republican Richard Nixon that he had to go.

Who went in to see Trump? Kanye?

And now they're using Newt as an "advisor?"

Do the hard work of talking to your former party bretheren and bring them around to your way of thinking, don't come over to our side and expect praise for marginally updating your antediluvian thinking...
