A thought

People with toxic personality types like narcissism, sociopathy and authoritarians like to abuse people and gaslight them. They love committing crimes and love being crimials and bullies and abuse power. They get off on it,get high off it like an addict except they know its wrong but dont care if its wrong.

Black people and other non whites were thier targets for hate and abuse. In the past and now. Other whites looked the other way, also these "tyrant kings of thier homes" got away with abusing women and children in the home.

A man had to keep them in line and " train"that willful woman into a proper wife the abused said nothing about the abuse perpretrated by the domestic tyrant. Keep it in the family..

These white sociopathic narcissistic monsters were the school bullies the popular ones with thier little gangs of obedient authoritarians.
Who were underlings of the bully with power hoping they wont be a target of the monsters wrath.

These toxic people basically abused ,raped ,beat, killed and hurt others and got away with it for centuries.Thier culture, the toxic white male culture gave them privilege and With it the "right" to abuse kill or rape and lynch certain others, beat thier wives and kids. Intervening on behalf of the victims of these assholes were like taboos almost.

Besides women were made as powerless as possible and dependant on the possibly violent husbands they basically were captive. Not like slaves but they couldnt just leave.

This I think is what these right wing male incel toxic people trash really want back its the culture they want..Along with the privleged status.

And they will overthrow democracy if they dont get thier way.

The mental health services in this country are woefully underfunded.

So many hurting people
These monsters leave in thier wake .so many kids broken.

I think the increase
sociopathy, narcissism and sociopathy is a threat to humanity as serious as global climate change.

Abuse doesent create sociopaths or narcissists if it did we would be overrun with them.
The "vampire myth "does not apply to abuse.

These toxic personalities don't improve with therapy, drugs dont work either.
What do we do about it?
Because I don't know what to do.

But our country ,our democracy is being threatened by these bad people.

And I dont want to live under the empire of malignant narcissists

I asked my doctor why sociopaths do what they do and how do we stop them. I was asking about a personal issue but my doctor was honest and told me that sociopaths exist everywhere, especially in politics and that there really is no cure. Therapy and meds don't work in 90% of the cases and that is why we can't really stop them. I have been depressed over this answer for years and years.

In the womb then when they are fetuses abort them.

Or when a sociopath commits any crime lock them up for life because of thier toxicity and clear danger to all people because they cannot be trusted with freedom..

I read that some tribes finding a sociopath in thier midst would just take the sociopath on a hunting trip and push them off an ice floe to die, then come back and say he slipped and we could not save him.

Maybe it is the cost of living in huge cities and states.

I hate nature for evolving them.blind ruthless stupid nature.

I hope when I die I go where there are no narcissists ,authoritarians or sociopaths.

if teachers are savvy enough. I am a psychologist who worked with children in my early career and I met a few children who gave me the heebie-jeebies when they were in elementary school. Their teachers understood what was going on with them but were helpless to intervene. The mental health system in this country has been badly broken since Reagan, and sociopaths don't really fit there anyway.

Priisons need to be reserved for the sociopaths and psychopaths, not petty thieves and drug addicts, people who can be rehabilitated in the right environment.

But we got to figure out how to contain or keep these assholes from hurting others.

I hate this world. I hate nature. I want out of here.

I spotted several over the years. I used to tell my fellow teachers that in "20 years that kid will be on the news and I will be the one who tells the police that I knew this was coming". Of course their parents refuse to admit there is a problem and make it worse by going untreated.

https://thecrowdedbookcase.com/2022/01/05/does-power-corrupt-or-are-the-corruptible-attracted-to-power/

Very short:
“What if power doesn’t make us better or worse? What if power just attracts certain kinds of people—and those are precisely the ones who shouldn’t be in charge? Maybe those who most want power are the least suited to hold it. Perhaps those who crave power are corruptible.”

I can't say that the solutions in the article are practical. After all, they are speculation. The article is basically a review of "Corruptible: Who Gets Power and How It Changes Us" by Brian Klaas.

So I refer you to the article and book. My own two cents worth as I type this is that systems have feedback mechanisms that reward greed and narcissistic behavior. These could be changed to lessen the personal power and money that flows to and around "leaders" and I am obviously referring to Citizens United, the lack of campaign financing limits, and so on.

"One dollar, one vote" replaced "One Person, one vote".

I note that a lot of information on clandestine groups has come from hackers. Not long after the hatchet job that Wikileaks did on HRC, hackers have been grabbing tons of data on RW groups.

I am not advocating such hacking (the heck I'm not) but what if the monetary adventures of politicians and related groups, shady money included, were just made a lot more visible, and persistently visible? Some of that has been unearthed on Senator Munchkin.

Of course, getting rid of that POS Citizens United, expanding the SC, and real campaign finance reform are more systematic remedies.

The OP mentions personal weaknesses, which I feel are reflective of culture and myths surrounding it. That's for another post or two or more.
