(21,748 posts)Don't know... Or really care why this attack got thrown out there but I'm good with them attacking each other.

(115,656 posts)Crenshaw is also kind of a shit, but mocking someone else's disability - anybody's - is beyond the pale. Cawthorn himself uses a wheelchair, and i have no doubt that if someone mocked him for that he'd have the mother of all hissy fits.

(90,761 posts)that has a challenge, like being in a wheelchair - like the person in my firsthand experience - who will attack others as a dare, of sorts, knowing full well few, if any, will call him on it least they appear to be attacking someone in a wheelchair.
They do it just to push that button. They go after others in wheelchairs or who have some other challenge and then smirk about it because they know if you say something back to them about it, they are just going to claim you're the one attacking someone with a challenge.
They engage in rude behavior, petty actions and even petty crimes, because they are counting on everyone else being too afraid to say something to the person in the wheelchair.
I've experienced it firsthand and know it happens.
No. I never said anything because I knew why they were doing it.

(90,761 posts)I've been on the receiving end of that too. A lot of women have. Called names by men because they said, "No".

(24,262 posts)I thought the same thing but you articulated it perfectly. He says things about other people, even threatening them, that would lead to a normally abled person getting their ass kicked. But he thinks he is shielded by his wheelchair.

(90,761 posts)but I hear Cawthorn was an asshole before his accident. So...
