A controversial map former President Donald Trump used to show Alabama in the path of a 2019 hurricane was one item among 15 boxes of documents he gave to the National Archives last month, according to The New York Times.
The map was handed over along with documents, letters and gifts Trump reportedly took with him when leaving office, though officials say he was legally required to leave them in the federal governments custody.
The map was part of a controversy dubbed Sharpie-gate involving Trump and whether Alabama was actually threatened by the hurricane.
As Dorian headed for the southeastern U.S. in early September 2019, Trump tweeted that Alabama was most likely to be hit (much) harder than anticipated.

(11,297 posts)He REALLY believed that was "proof" that he was right and NOAA was wrong. Regardless of the sheer stupidity, that clown's ego is so fragile that he needs 24/7/365 soothing and that image was probably going to be to Trump what the Mona Lisa was for Napoleon - a painting over the bed.
