Better than the games, most times. Their dedication. Their familys support n sacrifice for a dream.. inspiring. They are all gold winners.. medals or not.

(8,318 posts)5. Totally, a new thing for me though
I have never been emotional, but a couple things have hit me in the recent past. The end of the Army / Navy game, the medal ceremony. I am starting to think there is something wrong with me. I am not wired to be emotional.

(2,343 posts)7. The same thing happened to me watching NASCAR on Sunday when they did...
The invocation and national anthem.
I've not watched any Olympics, but I'm sure it would do the same. I find the older I get, the more the national anthem affects me.
