Things like alcohol and drug testing, CDL standards, financial responsibility laws for motor carriers, driver qualifications, hours of service for drivers, vehicle inspections, repairs and maintenance, transporting hazardous materials and even a ban on texting.

They spend a lot of lonely time on the road and probably talk exclusively amongst themselves - they are a brotherhood for the most part. Telling each other the same lies, promoting the "we" vs. "them" hate and paranoia. Racist, homophobic, misogynist behavior encouraged and promoted.

Not saying that there aren't intelligent truckers that don't buy into the brotherhood bubble. I just don't know wgat the % for each group....I fear it's weight towards Trump.
