So the media is hyping how a trucker snarl-up could shutdown the superbowl.

Ok, I can see how it could. Traffic is a nightmare even on good stadium days around most games. A few stalled vehicles could stop traffic cold miles away.

But aren't they just hurting people who are already on their side?

I mean really, people going to football games, especially the superbowl, are very well healed and generally conservative. You almost never see masks in the crowds at most games. The league doesn't support requiring them in the stands.

Why would they hurt their own supporters, or at least people who agree to some degree?

Or is it just for impact? Lookie what weee can dooooo-doooo up!

I guess that could be it.
