(54,144 posts)Is the end result supposed to be one, specific word and you eliminate letters by taking guesses?

(96,882 posts)If a letter turns black, its not in the word.
If a letter turns yellow, its in the word but in one of the other four spaces.
If a letter turns green, its in the word and in the right location.

(28,395 posts)Kinda like "Wheel of Fortune" (sans Vanna/Sajak), and the "hangman" game, or maybe the old "Mastermind" game, if you're familiar with that.
You make a wild guess at what the word is. Computer tells you what letters you have wrong, ie, not in the word (gray); letters you have right, but in the wrong place (yellow); and letters you have correct in the right place (green). Then you adjust your guess accordingly, lather, rinse, repeat until you either get the answer, or run out of guesses (you get six).
