Jan. 6th Commission: "Once you see the data, you can't unsee it."

Denver Riggleman (R-Va) is my former congressman and is in charge of the data for the Jan 6 commission. He’s former NSA. He’s got the call logs and data. My assumption is that what he sees is damning for anyone who was involved.

He was a lousy congressman, dumped from office by a more conservative nutjob who is being primaried by an even more conservative nutjob. He seems to have found his conscience and his backbone. And a sense of humor. From another tweet:

“I would like to be questioned on National TV by all Congressional Republicans who believe January 6th was a False Flag.

“Just me against every single one on the dais.

“I will even wear a JFK Jr for Vice President shirt so everyone is comfortable.”

It’s all about presentation. Republicans understand that and constantly beat Democrats over the head with it. It’s why they sell so many shit sandwiches over at Fox News—presentation.

Content is secondary, genuine numbers aren’t needed—they sometimes just make it up.

So when sharing the whole story about January 6–and the whole Trump-Putin regime—use the finest plates and garnish them with important details on every inch.

Still, there’s limits. If prosecutors don’t start soon too many people won’t believe it because they’ve had too much propaganda from defendants while waiting. I think this statement is a tease for what may be coming soon.

"once you see the data, you can't unsee it," to come from Merrick Garland, not from Denver Riggleman.

stayed in SW VA. The owners of the B&B raved about him. Said people loved him and that he was an honest, open-minded straight shooter. That trump didn't like that so put up an opponent to get rid of him.

He voted with Trump and was primaried because he performed a same-sex marriage. He never met with his constituents. He voted “no” on impeachment.

Here’s his voting record: http://politicsthatwork.com/voting-record/Denver-Riggleman-412831

will clearly show all of the crimes that DOJ could have prosecuted.

Then msnbc justice correspondent, Pete Williams, will go on TV and say that none of this would be admissible in court because our president Trump has claimed executive privilege and our Federalist Society selected SC will agree.

Today is day 60 since the Mark Meadows criminal referral and he is claiming executive privilege. I rest my case.

They have moved so far beyond reality that they’re living in a fake world of Trump’s and their creation. No one who denies the results of dozens of court cases, multiple recounts of votes—including by the fraudulent Cyber Ninjas who found more votes for Biden—and that January 6 was an illegal insurrection instead of “patriots” acting to save their country will believe a word coming from the J6 Committee. But I would hope that enough Independents and moderate Republicans (if there is such a thing left) would watch and come to understand the seriousness of Trump’s crimes and those of the people who helped him try to overturn not just the 2020 election but our whole system of democracy. I think they came closer to succeeding than the average person realizes.

There’s a lot to uncover, but the longer this investigation goes on, the more people will simply tune it out and go on with life. I believe timing is urgent here. If hearings are not held until Fall, the DOJ will do nothing because it’s too close to the election and Republicans are likely to take control of the House, at which point they will shut the investigations down and start their own endless hearings immediately on the J6 members, as well as begin hearings to impeach Biden and Harris—and those hearings will be televised from the beginning because they will not be to gather evidence—they will be for planting lies in the minds of voters to ready them for 2024.

My opinion here is definitely tainted by the Mueller experience, with anticipation of crimes proven but a real flop in terms of holding TFG accountable for anything. The investigation took so long that many people just lost interest and then of course Barr kept most of it secret—and no one but some Democrats cared. It made no difference to the fact that 74 million people voted to keep Trump in office. My fear is that the J6 Committee will take so long that too few will pay attention when they do finally present their findings.

I agree. By the time voters are made fully aware of Trump's crimes, mid-term campaigns will be in full swing and the DOJ will do nothing. Most Americans will view the whole public spectacle as nothing more than a partisan political exercise.

This system of having secret hearings before actual hearings is bull! A good reporter should be able to find out what happened. Let the press take them down.
