First they came for the Communists and I did nothing because I wasn't a Communist

Then they came for the Jews and I did nothing, you know how this goes. George S Patton warned us about
Russia when they said, we get to keep all these countries we liberated from the Nazis as spoils of war and we did
nothing. Hillary warned us over & over about Putin on the campaign trail and we did nothing but allow the
Electoral College to steal her from us. If she was President, Russian troops would be home with families.

NATO should stand up to Putin right now and inform Putin if he invades they'll flatten unguarded Moscow first
then go after his troops. I sure hope they're telling Putin in all the "behind the scenes" talks that he's opening a
can of whoop ass he'll regret. It's NATO he's crying about, they should be going after him aggressively with words.

Our children if they were in charge would stand up to him because we taught them that bullies are cowards.

Sure hope Europe/NATO never has to say "First Putin came for Ukraine and we did nothing, then Putin came for
Poland and we did nothing, etc, etc. .

It would be like the song, "Its the end of the world as we know it." If Putin, and his government is to be destroyed, it will be from the inside, and it will be the results of a war of greed.

If NATO pulls together, and sends an unambiguous message that the Russian Army will be gutted in Ukraine, then there will be no war. Right now, Putin is counting on scaring the Ukrainians into submission. Who knows what happens if the Ukrainian people, and NATO don't flinch.

Putin and I think that the most likely end game is that the Ukrainian people will give their government to a bunch of Russian bootlickers. Peace in our times, through a bloodless coup, leaving the Russians in complete control of the breadbasket of Europe. Once the politics are settled, the holdouts can be dealt with. However, if that doesn't happen, Putin looses too much face and has to invade. Putin, the megalomaniac, has laid the groundwork, he has the troops in place, he has weakened the Democracies, he sees the timing as right, and he may just think that he can pull it off. Or his calculations may include that, "I will go down a winner or a martyr. In any case, the world will remember my name.

Of course, this is not WWII. There is no hiding the buildup of troops. No surprise armies can encircle Stalingrad. Everybody knows where everybody else's stuff is. What can be seen can be killed. In todays world, those mighty tanks and Navy ships are just BFTs and the people who crew them are crispy critters, without using "flattening" Moscow.

We are living in interesting times. The 1930s were interesting times too.

after we destroy your military in Ukraine, we'll go after you. You make some good points.
