MAGA-boosting Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) declared on Sunday morning that former President Donald Trump was right on target with his statement reacting to the latest developments in the Durham probea statement that suggested executions for Clinton-linked operatives.
After Fox News reported that Special Counsel John Durham filed a motion alleging that Hillary Clintons presidential campaign paid a technology company to infiltrate servers tied to Trump, the ex-president blared that the latest pleading from Special Counsel Robert Durhamyes, he got Durhams name wronghad provided indisputable evidence that he and his campaign were spied on by the Clinton campaign.
In a stronger period of time in our country, this crime would have been punishable by death, Trump added. Asked to react to the Durham filing and Trumps response on Fox & Friends Weekend, Jordan said the spying was worse than we thought before agreeing wholeheartedly with Trumps response.
Weve never seen anything like this in history, Jordan exclaimed. So President Trumps statement yesterday, I think is right on target. This is truly unprecedented, truly something that has never happened in the history of our great country.

Why hasn't Fox News been destroyed already for their role in this, that amazes me, the restraint on one side, and the total lacking on the other?
Can't last though.
Getting idiots to believe MSM is lying, and FN is truth, that is one hell of a bridge they sold them with giant holes in the support beams?

It's "indistbutable"?
Is there anything to this, or is it loudmouths talking?

Answer: NEVER
Only one person has ever been executed for treason in the US:
William Bruce Mumford, who was convicted of treason and hanged in 1862 for tearing down a United States flag during the American Civil War. However, this was under martial law, not Article Three of the United States Constitution.

(8,841 posts)Trump just announced that, if he had the power to do it, he'd execute his political enemies.
It's a dark vision of what he has in store for us if he's reelected and controls Congress.
How very Putinesk of him. But then what would you expect of an immature man/boy trying to gain approval from his father figure.
Very scary indeed!

(53,003 posts)First, John Durham pulled an allegation out of his fourth point of contact.
Then, Trump wants people executed because of Durham's fantasy.
Next, Jim Jordan says Trump is exactly right.
Two things must be pointed out here.
First, I seem to remember that Trump won the electoral vote in 2016 and was therefore installed as president.
And second, our prisons currently contain a lot of people who were locked up for mishandling a lot less classified information than Trump took with him to Florida after he left office. In a "stronger period of time in our country" Trump would already be making license plates.

(17,757 posts)You would think that he had bigger fish to fry at this time. That is unless, of course, he is going with the three year old's legal defense, "Well mom, Johnny did it and he can still watch TV." Of course, expect the SC to confirm that on appeal...
All of this weekly arising drama is just a distraction. The president of the United States organized and executed an attempt to overthrow our country by destroying Democracy in order to install himself as a dictator. He wants you to be concerned with his misdemeanors and worried about him wiping his butt with the daily agenda.
I would bet that If our founders could speak to us from the past, they would be asking why we haven't hung him yet? and questioning us as to, "Do you want to live under an ignorant, evil dictator?" "Hell, we could have saved a lot of trouble and kept King George!" "What the hell is wrong with you people?"
You get the government you deserve.

'I don't read a lot into this," said York. "But I would say as far as Durham is concerned and a lot of Republicans and especially the strongest Trump supporters, a lot of them have been disappointed in Durham. Frankly, because I think they have expectations that are too high. Some Trump supporters are really not going to be happy unless they saw James Comey or Hillary Clinton lead out of a door in handcuffs."
This, he explained, is never going to happen. Nor will Durham find something suddenly that results in President Joe Biden being kicked out of office and Trump reinstated.
Durham was appointed by Trump to investigate former Special Counsel Robert Mueller on Oct. 19, 2020, which is 482 days ago. Robert Mueller's investigation lasted 674 days and resulted in 34 indictments of individuals and three companies. Thus far, Durham has indicted a lawyer who once worked for Democrats. In subsequent filings, including this most recent one, Durham hasn't made any indictments nor has a grand jury.

"Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death,........."
There are lesser penalties listed as well, but if he is out for blood, he should apply his standards universally, even if that means applying them to himself (no wonder he didn't want those phone records disclosed).
