1. She is from his home state and state university. So he can put out that he actually cares about his sate (even though he votes against anything that would actually help it)
2. By supporting one blakc woman - -he can claim that his opposition to anyone else is not racist -- that Biden did not pick the best person.


We all know that he is a lying racist POS -- but by getting in front of this . He can be lying, racist POS with a plausible deniability for why he is opposing a completely qualified black woman.

And I don’t have time to dig into the implications of all her rulings, but I would guess they are relatively pro-corporate. Couple this with the home state factor and the appearance of being “reasonable” and this is a big win for Lindsey.
