Decided to go for a swim in the sewer, visited FR

Interesting post, along the line of Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan said that Donald Trump was 'right on target' to suggest Hillary Clinton's operatives should be executed after the former president accused her campaign of treason.

Here’s a small sample of the replies:

From Flavious_Maximus

The USA under Puppet Biden is a powder keg waiting to explode.

An American Bastile Day is coming. Many, many millions are going to die. It’s going to be the end of both political parties.

I would not not want to be a member of the propaganda media. The Spanish Inquisition II and Nuremberg II will be inflicted on those bastards.

From bert:

Until the left is executed in large numbers, the plague will continue to destroy America.

Eradication is the only certain solution to the destruction of the left

Failure to eradicate is losing

Just a couple of the more insane examples. This goes beyond political discourse, it’s a cult. The next thing I expect to hear from them is “Genocide for Jesus”. Can these folks be deprogrammed?

I will now take a cleansing bath in hot sulfuric acid.

Americans think that the solution to their problems is the elimination of half of our population. I would have not have believed it even ten years ago, but the signs were there.

Maybe a large number are just talking shit, but when lots of people are talking shit like that, then a few among them aren't just blowing hot air. Many others are ready to be swept up into action if they see others start it.

Further, it's a very bad sign that people even feel free to say such things in a public forum without fear of consequences, and more so, to get validation from others rather than condemnation for it.

I would think it far more likely to see that kind of stuff in an echo chamber like FR, not less.
They're saying it there for the very reason that there is no fear of condemnation.

But we've come to accept that there are places like FR where a large community would *not* condemn that kind of rhetoric. Just because we've got used to it, however, doesn't mean that it isn't a very dangerous thing.

But, my point stands.
It seems eminently logical that places like that exactly where one would find such rhetoric.
I'd be much mor concerned if I saw that on a sports, cooking or music forum site.
In those places, they'd get criticized & probably shut down.
I also think it more "all talk" than you apparently do.
There was no social media that propelled McVeigh & Nichols. There are always going to be violent, radical crazies.
Social media, while probably 99% wishful hating, is a tracking device for the other 1%.

I don't think people get how violent they are.

When FailedCoupGuy finally feels cornered from all his legal troubles, he'll tell his magaloons to go after
somebody and that will probably be Democrats. 5 to 10% will just grab their guns and start shooting
believing everybody is armed and shooting. Whenever he hints or tells his gang to take action, will be
a good day to stay home, and with a loaded gun handy if you have one using all safety precautions.

in cellars. They will certainly get quite a shock when they start getting back what they are giving out, which may cause them to rethink a few things, but we also need to be ready to give back what they are giving out. It seems that right now they are not too worried about us at all.

That needs to change a bit.

One was a horrendous exercise in cruelty driven by religious zealotry; the other was most of the free democracies in the world pursuing justice against the perpetrators of horrendous crimes. So the defendants in one were more like the prosecutors in the other, but hey, just lump them together.

Mon Feb 14, 2022, 05:56 PM
Feb 2022

This is what happens when you see history from only one perspective, when you dumb it down to core (completely emotional) concepts. Or maybe the poster meant the "Nuremberg Laws"? That would make more sense paired with the Spanish Inquisition.

One thing about Conservative arguments is that they typically do not have the facts, or reality on their side, so most of their arguments come from pure emotion, mainly fear and anger.

If you ask them to define "the left", they will not be able to do it. If you aske them to define how Biden is being dictatorial, they will not be able to do so in any cogent way. If you ask them what the causes and consequences of the Spanish Inquisition were, they would not be able to do it.

They cannot articulate what their opponents stand for because they never articulate their own position, they only lie about it. Endless lies about libertarian ideals or christian traditions or economic prosperity, all to deny and deflect from the actual agenda of white male supremacism.

I haven't lurked over there in a very long time. It's just too draining to try and understand their "logic."

I'll bet there's some good comedy that was posted between early Nov 2020 and early Jan 2021. Can't even begin to imagine what they've said about 1/6 and the investigations.

I believe they have upgraded to a coal fired server, hosted in Russia.

It was amusing to watch in the days after 1/6. Lots of skinheads posting that Pence was a traitor, with calls for his, and other RINOS and liberals to be executed. I have good reason to believe RimJob was contacted by the FBI, based on the sudden elimination of those threads and statements from RimJob himself.
