https://gizmodo.com/givesendgo-leak-freedom-convoy-canada-trucker-protest-d-1848534782A data set leaked by an unknown hacker appears to show that Americans comprise a vast majority of the users donating to Canadas Freedom Convoy protest via the website GiveSendGo, a Christian-oriented platform thats raised more than $8.3 million to support the movement in opposition to public health measures intended to curb the spread of the covid-19 virus.
While the data set shows donors with Canadian addresses are responsible for a majority of the cash, almost half of the moneymore than $3.6 millionappears to come from users with payment methods tied to U.S. residences.
The data was leaked Sunday night during the Super Bowl by a hacker who defaced GiveSendGos website, sending visitors to a separate site with a video that accused the company of trying to foment insurrection in Ottawa. A link to the data set was provided alongside the video.
GiveSendGo, which reportedly suffered a separate leak less than two weeks ago, has so far not responded to a request for comment attempting to confirm the veracity of the data. The companys website is currently offline for maintenance and server upgrades, according to a message that appeared on its homepage at the time of publication.

An employee of the United States Department of Justice made a $50 donation to the Freedom Convoy using their official DOJ email address.

Low ranking official, but this is a pretty bad look @TheJusticeDept
The comment attached to their donation:
"Thank you Truckers! It is working. Others have taken your lead like Australia, New Zealand, UK. I think the reason all these blue states in the USA have stopped the mask mandates is there were rumors that truckers here in the USA were
going to start a protest starting in CA to DC and the local and federal governments did not want that. And it is an election year. This is my second donation."
