The most overlooked midterm elections this year: State Supreme Courts

Sharing some info from Brent Peabody @brent_peabody on Twitter:

The most overlooked midterm elections this year:

OH Supreme Court: 3 GOP seats up, Dems need to win just one to flip the court

NC Supreme Court: 2 Dem seats up, Dems need to win both to keep their majority

GA Supreme Court: 3 GOP seats up

MI Supreme Court: 1 GOP, 1 Dem seat up

MT Supreme Court: 2 GOP seats up

MN Supreme Court: 2 Dem seats up

All have big implications for redistricting. Vital Dems win MI and MN to keep their majorities.

Never overlook an election again in your state. The League of Women Voters have the information on every election, including judges in every state in the US.

Losing a State Supreme Court race in WI in 2019 essentially doomed WI to another 10 years of Republican gerrymandering. Probably because we got complacent with the 2018 wins.
