What are our best chances to expand the majority, and how do you think we can get there?

There's so much doom and gloom out there that maybe we could focus on something a little more positive?

Put your strategery hat on and let's devise some plans.

The GOP is going to slam us on everything from inflation to Afghanistan to Covid, even though the later is mostly the repubs fault. Won't matter. Truth & facts never do with them.

Our side needs to remind people exactly what repubs got done last time they had the WH & controlled congress. Not infrastructure. Not their precious wall. Not even repealing the ACA. But they did get $2 trillion in tax cuts for the rich, while scheduling the tax cuts for the rest of us to expire.

But what we really need to rev up the base & get them to the polls is accountability at the highest level.

In the meantime...

https://thehill.com/policy/national-security/593349-declining-share-of-americans-see-trump-as-bearing-a-lot-of

snip...

The number of Republicans who say Trump bears no responsibility at all for the attack grew from 46 percent to 57 percent over the last year, while the share of Democrats who see Trump as having "a lot" of responsibility for the attack dropped from 81 percent to 70 percent.

The survey also found the public largely divided over how much attention should be paid to the Jan. 6 attack and its impacts, with roughly a third of those surveyed responding that too much, too little and the right amount of attention has been given to reviewing the day.

I'm a local Democratic Committee Member in NJ - will be interesting to see what other District's volunteers for campaigns will be doing.

Example - in the 7th NJ - a Swing District - we won't be pushing free college, wiping out student debt. Unfortunately - the SALT cap inflicted on high cost of living states that actually have a state income tax in 2017 by the GOP is still in place. I don't think we can hold onto the seat. It hurt too many young middle class families and and middle class families with kids on the way to school. I think as hard as we try - it's a lost for Malinowski - which is why I'm giving money to Max Rose. So that's a break even seat.

Fear.

If you don’t understand why these white guys are voting the way they do, because they believe they will be able to use violence, then it’s time for you to know.

Don’t confuse your middle American lifestyle, and TV commercials on how a small percentage of people are itching to hurt you. You can vote normal Republican again, when they get the race baiting, or all the other hates out of their party.

Discourage The Squad from running progressives in districts where they have no chance of winning the general election.

Even a conservative D is better than losing the seat and possibly the majority.

AOC and the others need to accept the fact that much of the country in not on board with them.

IMHO there...as for Senate runs...we turn out and we work hard to get Democrats from rural districts to turn out and run candidates appropriate for the states and districts. I would discourage primaries. Incumbents have an advantage and this is not the year to do this.

And Senate seats. Compete for all of them.

It's much harder to get and maintain a majority when you give the other side a head start

And blast every dirty rotten Waddle Dump video clip on a loop for the money!

OR they just buy off Carlson and Hannity AND Fox & Friends, that might be cheaper than ads?

it may take a longer, a way onger time in places. It's step by step.
You start with I guess purple, purplered and even a bit of
raspberry (like bit of purplish in the red - I know these things I'm an artist). Maybe even certain red areas (after very careful analysis, and maybe ait of gut feelings) where certain issues might begin to resonate.

You chip away bit by bit. Maybe you don't start with the biggest resources, but building up a presence can get things going. Imho. 🙂

Since we have DU'rs in very red areas I think it will hearten them as well.
