Speaking of drug prices.

I am HIV Positive, a diabetic & have Stage 3 kidney disease.

When I got my yearly statement from Medicare part D for 2021, the total cost was a little over $98,000.00 Yes, those are the correct amount of zeros. Medicare paid about $76,000.00 of the total. I would not survive without having to pay for a secondary insurance.

My HIV medicine is $4,490.80 for a 30 day supply.

It is well overdue to have a talk about drug prices.
