First time for everything, yes?

Switched over to Cspan2 to see what was happening in the Senate. As often happens, they were mid-vote and many were just milling around and talking. I was about to switch back when I noticed something I'd never seen in the Senate, namely a senator sporting a significant TP tail. When he approached the desk to give his vote one of his colleagues whispered to him, and he quickly turned and reached behind himself and grabbed the offending paper. He wadded it up and turned to toss it into a wastebasket (I hope) by the desk, but those sitting there cringed and leaned away from him. Another colleague let him know that he hadn't gotten all of it, and he took off up the stairs, his hand reaching up under the back of his jacket and missing the tail by a mile. I couldn't tell who it was, and there was some bit of sympathy. At least when it happened to me it wasn't on television, and what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I suspect the poor guy was a GOPer, but only because Ted Cruz would have already made a speech about it otherwise. . .
