My children's movie screenplay just won its 9th award

It's in the Top 15!!!

At an unnamed elementary in the mountains of New York, Clyde Gambol is an outcast; his teachers don’t like him, his parents don’t understand him, the principal wants to get rid of him, and his classmates bully him without mercy. To deal with his life, he escapes into his own little world where he is king. His parents think he he needs a friend, but since his classmates don’t like him, they decide to buy him a Newfoundland dog, which Clyde falls in love with instantly. He names the dog Bear.

As Bear adjusts, he develops the ability to talk to Clyde when they are alone and no one else is around. Only Clyde can hear him. Together, they have grand adventures through Clyde’s imagination which only strengthens the bond of friendship between the two.

Conflicts arise as bullies begin to bully Clyde outside of school, leading Bear to defend and attack the bullies. Bear is taken by the police and a hearing is set to determine Bear’s danger to the community as well as whether it should be put down for attacking a human. This destroys Clyde, but his problems are made worse when the principal tries to punish him for Bear’s actions, exposing the principal’s motives in his treatment towards Clyde. Clyde runs away, but is found and, while his parents finally begin to understand him, the principal starts an expulsion hearing for truancy.

Both hearings, because of flips by a few accusers, goes Clyde’s favor. While celebrating with Bear, Bear begins to feel his strength wane as well as complaining about being in constant pain. On another grand adventure, Bear’s change in health gets worse. The vet diagnoses hip-dysplasia and since the dog is so big, surgery is out of the question.

Clyde deals with this the only way he knows how. . .he avoids it by entering his own world, this time without Bear. Bear feels the abandonment and slips into a depression. As the disease progresses, Bear tries to join Clyde, but slips down the steps and breaks his hip. Now, in a critical position, the family must decide whether to put down Bear or not.

Clyde, while listening to his parents' discussions over Bear's future, goes to pieces one night, begging his parents not to kill his dog and spending the night talking with and apologizing to Bear for ignoring him. Bear forgives him.

The next morning, the parents still discuss Bear’s future, with the idea that they are leaning towards putting Bear down since they do not have the resources for the medical care Bear now requires and knowing Bear is in agonizing, excruciating pain.

Clyde spends the day with Bear, playing games as Bear sits, watching him, wishing he could join his best friend.

In the afternoon, Clyde goes out to meet the one friend from class he has made over this time, but stops and puts the leash on Bear. They meet the classmate, then go to the hilltop where they had all their adventures and, as the day ends, to watch the sunset. Clyde puts his arms around Bear and tells Bear that he is Clyde’s best friend in the world. Bear turns and starts licking Clyde’s face as the two watch the sunset together, possibly for the final time.

Just a quick aside...

We spent over $10,000 for medical care for our dog we lost in 2016 (Right after IT was elected to make the time worse)... so we looked into Vet insurance for our next pup.

We bought the insurance when said Pup was 3 months old, started around $70/mo and after 5 years it's $84/mo

Our boy ended up needing THREE medical procedures including TWO full blown surgeries and a sedated MRI before #2 Birthday.

Insurance company came through, paying over 15,000 in fees and we kicked in around 2k...

We were lucky to have the resources to afford the uninsured treatment BUT I know there are thousands of people EVERY year who lose their best friend because they can't afford proper treatment.

So check out Vet insurance, it's a life-saver.

If anyone wants to know the company, DM me... I don't dare post it here with my "3-4 friends" always looking to alert troll me.

into a screenplay that doesn't follow the normal, boring format nor has a big ticket, above the line star or director attached to it is the difficult part.

A reboot, sequel, or anything based on a comic book, games, or novel will always go first before something 100% original.
