Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) on Wednesday got called out by his Democratic colleagues after he blamed them for a criminal justice reform bill that was signed into law by former President Donald Trump.
During a speech about crime, Cotton attacked Democrats for voting for the First Step Act, which reduced some mandatory minimum sentence penalties and aimed to reduce the size of America's prison population.
"It's your party who voted in lock step for the First Step Act, that let thousands of violent felons on the street who have now committed innumerable violent crimes," Cotton said.

Reality is no longer an issue.

(9,895 posts)The propaganda is designed to reinforce the desired narrative of the oligarchs and ruling class donors who control the "base" and the "believers" through constant psy-ops level brain washing.
Say it was something utterly untrue, demonstrably false in fact...could be Biden, race, BLM, Durham report, does not matter what the specifics are - the plan is to use false statements and faked outrage to stoke people's hate centers enough to overload their ability to reason or recognize manipulation.
From the outside, the pattern is crystal clear and laughably obvious...to the marks on the inside of the bubble, the exact opposite is their "reality", they KNOW its true because they are fed the same shit all day and all night and they NEVER doubt, question or seek confirmation of anything.

(11,097 posts)I can assure you the vast majority of folks in Arkansas will not know about Tom having to retract his statement - or much care.
As I often say, no one ever moved to Arkansas to have their consciousness raised.

(24,282 posts)While Cotton did vote against it, the bill was sponsored by a republican and it passed the Senate 87-12. Hell, even Rand Paul voted for it.

That's the worst mistake made by MF45?
