Trump donor gives cash, plane ride, gets father pardoned. Gets $6M in PPP, Donates $20K to Truckers.

.

It's a beautiful day in the political neighborhood. . .

A Trump-loving Texas construction company CEO — whose father received a pardon from the former president — has been among the top donors to the Canadian "freedom convoy" on the fundraising site GiveSendGo, according to reports.

Benjamin Pogue of McKinney, Texas, the president and CEO of Pogue Construction, donated more than $385,000 to Trump's re-election campaign in 2020, Business Insider reported Wednesday. Pogue's contributions included providing the former president with the use of Pogue's own private jet, the Associated Press reported.
.
.
According to the Morning News, following Pogue's contributions to Trump's campaign in 2020, the former president granted a pardon to his father, Paul Pogue.

Paul Pogue, who founded Pogue Construction Company in 1978, pleaded guilty in 2010 to underpaying taxes by more than $400,000 and was sentenced to three years in prison.

Sounds more than a little off-key to me. You think there's a few things which ought to be illegal? Ford_Prefect Feb 2022 #8

I had to jump through hoops when the PPP came out, trying in so many places to get the loan for less than $25k. And this MF got over $6M?? And got them forgiven? Makes me very angry.

There are People: People who we think are like us; People who are part of our society-tribe-humanity, but they really are not there.

They are not interested in "us"- only what we can give them-- some "sort of power" to survive for them or their family or their friends.

It is up to us, as a collective conscience, to combat against this thinking.

Call them out when we see them. Support those who demonstrate the opposite of such things.

They are rooted in fear and really nothing more.

....that’s where the fear comes in. If they’re doing well, it’s greed that separates them from society.

being an accessory after the fact; or if the government can sue for commercial or economic damages.

His ignorance of Canadian law is no excuse.

Wondering what the U.S. would do if some Canadian rich dude paid for convoys to shut down our capital, or Austin, Texas.

Some of our faith-based projects include new construction for Cottonwood Creek Baptist Church in McKinney, campus expansion and a new multi-campus site for One Community Church in Plano and Prosper, Texas and expansion to Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco, Texas. Pogue is currently working on the single largest church project in U.S. history with Gateway Church. We are applying Lean Construction Processes to bring value and effective time management to our team approach with the owner and architect. Our Project Managers and Field Team continually further their education to incorporate current trends and processes in the construction fields.

Pogue has five Core Values which define us: 1) God First, 2) Family, 3) Absolute Integrity, 4) Service, and 5) Communication. We are faith-based people working with faith-based people. Every Monday morning, our team gathers at our corporate office for a Biblical lesson from our President and CEO, Ben Pogue. We include time to pray over specific needs among our staff, as well as our projects and teams in the field. It is refreshing to have a leadership team who put God first in all that we do, and it is evident in what God is doing at Pogue.
