When It comes to taking the 5th, remember, Trump is a textbook narcissist.

When questioned by prosecutors trump may not have the ability to control himself. He may find it impossible to take the 5th 500 hundred times like his son. He wants to talk, he wants to fight back, he wants to try and beat everyone.

Trump may see taking the 5th over and over again as weakness. We all know Trump thinks he is smarter than everybody, he is arrogant and has a huge ego. He will believe he can out smart the prosecutors.

If the prosecutors are smart and I'm sure they are. They should attack Trumps ego and the narcissist that lives inside him.

He somehow MUST take every opportunity to tell everyone how great he is.
So yes, you may be right on this one.

And Lt. Caffey saw this and realized he WANTED to speak his mind on the stand. They should do the same to Trump and he would torpedo himself right there in the courtroom in front of everyone.

In previous chances of deposition, Trump's lawyers were worried about a perjury trap.

Rightly so.

It is impossible to fall into a perjury trap if you tell the truth.

then he'll proceed to ramble on and hang himself.

Later he'll claim nothing he said can be used against him as he "took the 5th". His claim will be rejected by every court he appeals to.

I am not so sure he will be able to resist stating his case about persecution and witch hunts and unfairness and of course how the election was stolen from him. Not so sure he will hide behind the 5th for the whole thing. It's not his nature. But we can see.
