Caveat I have low vision issues. What appears to be a complete 180 from just a couple of days ago, it appears that Durham is pretending he didn't say what I read he said to millions of Fox viewers a few days, to the effect that Clinton DID SPY on Trump et al.
And now he is saying that ain't true?

(51,129 posts)It would be funnier if we didn't have to cut him a check every month for his bullshit witch hunt. How do you put this rabbit back in the hat now? Fox will never report it is all another big lie.
This has gone on so long Durham is defrauding the government by getting paid for doing nothing.

(7,278 posts)He really *didn't* actually walk it back, he's both putting the responsibility of "misinterpreting" (bullshit) not only of what he said, but what he very clearly intended to convey AND denying that any of his actions in terms of the legitimacy of the investigation itself, and his false assertions made into red meat on his propaganda outlet at the same time.
Media is describing that as "walking back"

(6,588 posts)Part of me is surprised, because it seems to reflect such a basic lack of competence, but the other part of me remembers that he can't afford to hire good attorneys.
It seems like the "throw everything against the wall & see what sticks" is their SOP.

(51,129 posts)The ruling excludes #FailedCoupGuy from immunity and provides precedent for civil suits.
Swalwell charges that Trump, his son Donald Jr., along with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and Republican Rep. Mo Brooks of Alabama, had made false and incendiary allegations of fraud and theft, and in direct response to the Defendants express calls for violence at the rally, a violent mob attacked the U.S. Capitol. ......

(11,563 posts)...and ever more weirdly, how could it apply to him? Has he come around to actually believing his claim of being able to shoot somebody at noon on the streets of NY and not suffer any consequences? What a seriously demented individual.

I don't think he thought anyone could touch him. He was too smart. He just did whatever he felt like. And he got away with it.
Until now. All those chickens are coming home to roost.
