Peter made that as a joke, then someone reported it on twitter as fact from that joke, and is now apologizing.
Bipartisanreport also reported it as fact, using Strzok's joke as real reportage.

And that some 'don't get it' or 'understand' - well, just shows you how stupid they were to fall under the spell to begin with.

(16,926 posts)this 'former FBI agent' took the opportunity to slam back at TFG with some great 'finds' - like the 'Saudi crystal electro-globe' - and I believe he is most entitled to do so after the abuse that he had to endure under TFG.
And that 'others' failed to understand who he was and what he was referring to - well, I guess they just missed the point - or couldn't make sense of it all.....

So your comment is a blanket statement that doesn't exactly describe twitter users.

(13,569 posts)Just not true.
It's obvious that you do not take the time to see who's posting on twitter, nearly daily.
From Biden himself, on down through layers of government. People you (we assume) elected, even.
Twitter is the national conversation, today. If you looked at it and didn't like it, the fault is yours. Because you CHOOSE who to follow, who to see there. It is as good as YOU make it for yourself. You can't speak to the experience of others there.

(6,679 posts)The GOP is much better at catapulting the propaganda. Get someone to post something on social media and in 10 min max it is everywhere as truth. I remember "the onion". Everyone knew it was fake.
Now, reality is so bizarre that anything is believable - and nothing is believable. Which was exactly the plan.
