In a connected, global world, this sort of cultural intrusion is made possible by new technology. It works both ways, we also can share our values with everyone else. What is important is that media and technology remain democratic rather than controlled by money or political powers.

(13,337 posts)They understand the deep racism of too many Americans and have brilliantly infiltrated, and manipulated our politics to the point where our government was nearly overthrown and fascism is still openly promoted by Republicans. It would be a mistake to ever underestimate the Russians ongoing efforts to destroy our democracy.
