Enjoy the Show!

I know we are all anxious to see Trump finally held accountable for his crimes, especially those that have caused so much damage to our country and our countrymen.

But while I'm waiting for true justice to be served, I am watching an arrogant, self-serving man being humiliated on a daily basis - and I am savouring every minute of it.

With every court ruling against him, TFG is being reminded that he is no longer an all-powerful, above-the-law "pResident" - and given his enormous ego, the very thought of being treated as just another citizen, subject to the decisions of judges he no doubt looks down upon, is undoubtedly as infuriating as it is humiliating.

Being told that he must submit to the will of others is bad enough for the ultimate narcissist - but the fact that he's being told in front of the world must be excruciatingly painful.

As a result of recent court decisions, this is just the beginning of the very public humiliation that is yet to come. The self-made billionaire is about to be exposed as nothing more than a flim-flam man. The savvy businessman is about to be revealed as an abysmal failure whose alleged empire was all smoke-and-mirrors - a "success story" built on lying to investors, scamming bankers, and cheating the tax man.

For someone like Trump, being stripped of his self-created title of world-renowned financial genius is far more devastating than anything the US justice system can mete out.

I'm sure he'd rather go to prison as a still-worshipped, still-adored, successful political powerhouse than hold court at Mara-Lago as the weak, spineless loser he will eventually be proven to be.

I believe that justice will prevail and TFG will be held accountable for his crimes against the nation.

But in the meantime, watching him publicly humiliated, over and over, is an increasingly enjoyable pastime.

Sometimes we're so anxious for the game to start, we overlook the pre-game show - which itself can be oh-so-satisfying in its own right.

the hands of DOJ--especially the national security arm, given the classified document scandal-- are being tied to action.

The very thought that DJT might never face incarceration for the crimes that seem immensely provable is beyond disconcerting, But, I agree with you, Nance, that every day is a new turmoil for him. So, he's hardly going through this unfazed and without consequences. And to a malignant narcissist like Trump, that daily psychic pain is substantial.

1st, the banks are not going to call in his loans because then they are going to be out a lot of money. His loans will be refinanced at a higher rate is the worst that will happen to him. The loans from Deutche bank were backed by Putin's VTB bank. The Saudis bailed out his Trump Tower by buying up floor space, the Saudis bailed out Jared. The Saudis are bailing him out once again by holding golf tournaments at his golf courses where he can skim all kinds of profit.

His new social media platform starts up on Presidents Day where he can skim a lot more money.

I see no indication that DOJ is inclined to investigate, let alone prosecute Trump. Day 67 since the select committee sent them the Mark Meadows criminal referral. Day 39 since the Michigan AG sent the criminal referral re: the fake electors and seeing that the select committee has subpoenaed many of the fake electors that tells me that DOJ is not investigating because the select committee would not get involved in an ongoing investigation. The National Archives should have investigated the crimes of not preserving documents.

Trump's accountability will be meted out by the good people in the states of NY, Georgia, and DC. I doubt the civil suits by individuals will win but at least they tried to hold him accountable.

Remember the #1 villain in the US is the Federalist Society, it launders dark money to right wing causes, like the anti-voter bills in the states. Christopher Wray is a member of the Federalist Society. There is zero proof that Merrick Garland is a member of the Federalist Society but he did take part in 10 or 11 of its events.

I feel bad for the Fulton county DA, she had to ask for security help because of death threats. I wish that DOJ had done a parallel investigation in Georgia, DOJ has a lot more resources.

Letitia has the goods on Trump and his spawn, she can nuke the Trump Organization I believe, but that doesn't involve handcuffs. I hope Alvin Bragg follows through on the criminal end. Cy Vance did hire an excellent financial prosecutor Marc Pomerantz.

I thought Garland was the wrong person for the job when Biden nominated him, and I still do. That doesn’t mean that I think he is incompetent, but he is a traditionalist schooled in the past when there was no 24/7 news cycle and when being media savvy was not so important for prosecutors. I know that one of Garland’s successful prosecutions was the Oklahoma bombing by Timothy McVeigh, but let’s look at that timeline. The bombing happened on April 19, 1995. McVeigh was indicted on August 10, 1995–just four months later. And yes there were fewer people to investigate in that crime, but the investigation and indictment were carried out swiftly.

It has now been more than 13 months since Trump encouraged an insurrection on national television for all the world to see. There is no evidence whatsoever that the DOJ is investigating anyone but the foot soldiers who were on video committing crimes. No leaks, no members of Congress hinting at an investigation, nothing. Meanwhile, the lack of any action outside the J6 Committee, which Republicans have repeatedly labeled as a partisan witch hunt, has freed Republicans to believe there will be no repercussions for January 6, and the DOJ is not providing any indication that they are wrong. As a result, Republicans are free to claim in their reelection campaigns that if there was anything serious about the January 6 “patriot trip” to the Capitol, the DOJ would have done something by now. And DOJ rules prevent any public announcements 90 days prior to an election, so nothing would be made public after July—only five short months away. I hope I’m wrong, but I have doubts that the DOJ is doing anything at all about the J6 instigators at the top. I respect that lots of people here do have faith that Garland is investigating. I truly hope they’re right and I’m wrong.

What bothers me is that my country did not recognize him for what he is.
When Reagan said he would cut taxes. increase defense spending and balance the budget I knew it was a lie. However my nation elected the lie. trump took lies to a whole new level and we must make it stop.

However this nation stood by while trump lied over and over again. Even when the press did call him out he liked it. As long as he was getting press it did not matter to him if it was bad press.
His first lie in office about how big the crowd was should have inflamed the nation and WE should not have let it go. You lie! Should have been chanted for four years. The excuse is always that all politicians lie. I don't buy that.
On the up side we did kick the fascist out of office. That was fun.

Criminal accountability? Likely none at all, or the process of getting there dragged out so long that Trump will be dead before anything happens.
