mild symptoms.
Not good for a 95 year old.
Charles was with her 2 days before he tested positive.

The Queen, 95, had been in contact with her eldest son and heir, the Prince of Wales, who tested positive last week.
It is understood a number of people have tested positive at Windsor Castle, where the Queen resides...

(20,981 posts)Windsor Castle is a great place to hole up. I toured those magnificent grounds in 2015. Utterly amazing as one walks down the grand hall to look up to see portraits of Britain's monarchs from Elizabeth I to Elizabeth II. A very grand place indeed.
God speed Your Majesty.

(10,750 posts)and made it through with flying colors. I heard of others this old react the same.
Here's hoping the Queen reacts the same as our aunt. She's an amazing woman. It would be fitting if she made it to 100.

(793 posts). . . when it's over with the help of humans that keep it going. Many don't respect its power and that's a main reason why it's still circulating. We don't decide when it's over; only time will tell. Prince Charles was hardly ever seen in a mask. He's already had Covid and came down with a second case which may have infected the queen. Charles likely infected his wife, Camilla, currently in isolation with Covid. Good for them that they had sense enough to get vaccinated. Otherwise, the news could have been quite different. As a doctor put it so aptly, chances of infection may be low in probability but high in consequence.
P.S. -- Out of a sense of caution Boris ought to tamp down the party scene at Downing Street.
