"I want to know," Habba, in court, asked the NY Attorney General, "are you gonna go after Hillary Clinton for what she's doing to my client?....

NPR host Peter Sagal weighed in, saying: "I'm not a lawyer, but based on her rant in a virtual courtroom just now, I'm not sure Donald Trump's attorney Alina [Habba] is either."

"Among other things," Sagal adds, "she's speaking to the Judge as if he's an opponent on a cable news panel, which strikes me as not wise? Also, the [clerk] keeps having to tell her to stop talking over the judge."

Habba also told the judge AG James is engaged in "selective prosecution," as Law & Crime News managing editor Adam Klasfeld reports.

1. She sounded desperate, probably because she figured out too late

that by representing TFG in the first place she'd made an ass of herself. So now she was losing badly, pissing off the judge and inviting sanctions, and she was just throwing stuff at the wall, hoping it would stick. But Trump will be pissed off when he inevitably loses; he won't pay her, and her reputation is in the sewer. I think some of these bottom-feeding lawyers are taking Trump's cases for the publicity, hoping for a sympathetic Trumper judge so they can eke out a win (though they probably won't get paid anyhow).

2. Oh the days when Mobsters bought Judges sympathetic to them.

TDFG is perhaps too broke to have Judges in his pockets. That would be ILLEGAL anyway. Why would a Judge want to lose his/her career for a bribe? Or perhaps some Judges still believe in the Rule of Law.

4. I think you've contradicted yourself

If Trump skates then she'll have done her job, don't you think? If she protects her client, she wins. How would that "not end well for her?"

On the other hand, if you're invoking the infamous dictum, "Everything Trump touches dies," then I agree with you. This lawyer has already demonstrated that she's a hack so she'll get very little big-time traction from her association with the criminal, Trump. She has already stepped up to-- and maybe over-- the line with her behavior and she could end up with court-ordered sanctions against her. One can only hope.
