(63,221 posts)to sound just like the King of the Whingers himself. Has he decided that it's actaully a "strategy" that might work or is he really starting to lose it?
Kind of makes you wonder, what exactly did Trump give him or promise him? Makes me a little nervous. They have influenced our elections before, and I don't see any reason to believe they can't do it again.

(4,417 posts)Putins speech was really weird and crazy. I felt like patting him on the back and asking him if he was ok.

(32,073 posts)I can't remember where I heard it, but someone highly familiar with the situation said he/she was hearing that members of the Duma are terrified of his recent behavior, believing that he's in the middle of some kind of psychiatric episode that's driving him to behave this way. Rumor has it that he has Parkinson's disease which can cause this sort of behavior, and IIRC, he had COVID, which can also cause psychiatric issues. Whatever it is, it's exacerbating the fact that he's just a fucking sociopath.
I agree with the others that Putin's behavior looks very Trump-like, especially the "cornered rat" version of Trump. He was probably expecting Biden and NATO to roll over, and not only didn't they roll over, they just got more unified. Putin is running out of options, and none of them are good for him. He's realizing that now, which is why we're seeing the Trump-like panic behavior.

(51,565 posts)Why does everyone have to sit 30' away from him? What is he afraid of? What is he hiding?
He may be trying to hide the Parkinson's Disease that he suffers from. He may have long Covid. Why has he gained weight? His physical and metal health is in question.
