Fox News Anchor Returns, Confirms He Was Hospitalized With COVID Pneumonia

The Daily Beast

Longtime Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto returned to the airwaves after a five-week absence he said was due to a battle with COVID-induced pneumonia.

“I’m back,” Cavuto declared Monday morning on his Fox Business Network show, which has featured a rotation of fill-in hosts while he was off-air for previously undisclosed reasons.

“I did get COVID again—but a far, far more serious strand, what doctors call ‘COVID pneumonia,’” he confirmed. “It landed me in intensive care for quite a while and it really was touch-and-go.” The affable host joked: “Some of you who’ve wanted to put me out of my misery darn near got what you wished for! So, sorry to disappoint you!”

The fully vaccinated Cavuto—who has long been open about surviving cancer, living with multiple sclerosis, and undergoing open-heart surgery in 2016— also took shots at the anti-vaxxers who might suggest the jab got him sick.

if you read the article linked above, you'd know he's been pro-vaccine this whole time, he has a compromised immune system bc of cancer and MS, and he's pretty much called anti-vaxxers dumb.

...I can tell you that the condition doesn't create the same kind of innmuno compromised condition that relates to a disease like COVID.
MS is a hyperimmunity condition, where the immune system is too active & aggressive.
While his having gone through cancer treatments puts him in a more precarious position, MS does not do the same.
Our immune systems, except in folks with a late stage secondary progressive form of MS, are just as capable of fending off contagious diseases as anybody else.

He needs to fight to eradicate this virus in every possible way. He needs to ask, “Am I one of those expendable people you’re willing to sacrifice rather than wear a mask?” He needs to shut down everyone who sneers about him being vaxxed and still nearly dying. He’s one of the vulnerable, and if they don’t care then he should make them say it to his face.

Why would FOX let this pro-vaccination nut back on the air after faking pneumonia!!!?

I've had MS since 1995.
The controlling of the MS involves VERY specific adjustments to the immune system that do not compromise it against infectious diseases. I've had colds or flu at the same frequency & severity as most anybody else in my age group. I was very involved in the treatment studies, both as a participating patient & a volunteer reviewer. My knowledge in this area is pretty strong given my expertise is not in medicine.
His having gone through cancer treatments likely has a much greater impact on his susceptibility.

My comorbidities are not nearly that dramtic, but I still take prcautions like staying home and masking up when I can't stay home.

After three days of mostly mild symptoms, pulse oxygen levels fell, relative ended up in the hospital, then ICU on a ventilator, then dead.
All in less than 2 weeks.

Cavuto is a Fox News person who has been pro-vaccine since the beginning, but that doesn't stop people from saying snarky things while wishing death on him.

Oy.
