Listen carefully. There's a lot of sloppy and inaccurate talking on TV right now.

As early as last evening, I heard people saying that Russia had "invaded" the Donbas region of Ukraine. Yet, there was NO EVIDENCE offered to show that a single soldier had crossed the border.

Putin had "given the order" and troops and trucks had "repositioned". And, that was described as an "invasion" which should trigger all of the "swift and severe sanctions" that President Biden promised will result.

This morning, there is discussion about "whether" there has been an actual movement across the border. And, again, it is "sorta/kinda" being implied that maybe the President is not imposing the sanctions he promised and "what message does this send to Putin" is being asked.

Listen. Carefully. Please.

"invasion" being the main topic besides patriotic subjects.

Psychological games, President Biden and administration are getting good at it since RWers play a horrible gambit of it all the time.

The first reports are seldom the most accurate ones.

This is not a slam at the media. It's just the nature of gathering information.

Along with predictions for WW3, panicky admonitions to stock up on whatever, etc.
