... President Obama fired him from the Defense Intelligence Agency because he did not give the
President warning about Russia's invasion of the Crimea. There are reports that after President
Obama fired him he then went and spent time in Russia.

Former President Obama warned President Donald Trump against hiring Mike Flynn as his national security adviser, three former Obama administration officials tell NBC News.
The warning, which has not been previously reported, came less than 48 hours after the November election when the two sat down for a 90-minute conversation in the Oval Office.

I wonder whom Flynn is talking with on that earpiece.

(3,425 posts)And lets not forget that Senator Richard C. Shelby of Alabama, who led the delegation and is not running for re-election to his seat this year, along with Senators Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, John Neely Kennedy of Louisiana, Steve Daines of Montana, North Dakotas John Hoeven, Jerry Moran of Kansas, South Dakotas John Thune, and Rep. Kay Granger of the 12th District of Texas all traveled to Russia on the Fourth of July, 2018. All but Shelby and Daines (who was re-elected in 2020) are running this year. I realize that it may be tilting at windmills to unseat some of these traitors, but not all of them. Johnson is at least somewhat vulnerable. In light of the story yesterday about the candidate who asked for help from Russian intelligence in his losing 2016 House bid, this trip smells even more.

(10,749 posts)I've asked this before. And we'll probably never know the answer.
Is any part of the US Government doing a counterintelligence/treason investigation of Flynn? Any part, meaning DIA, NSA, CIA, FBI. All would be involved.
He was the head of DIA and his actions for the better part of a decade suggest support for Russia, a megalomania personality (in my non-doctor opinion), and a weird tendency to ignore reality. This doesn't come out of nowhere. Was he a Russian agent at any point? Or, back further - was he a Soviet agent? Per Wikipedia, he was in the Army from 1981. He might have come to the attention of the Soviet Union early on. And from the 1990s onward he was a rising star, just the kind of military officer that would come to the attention of an intelligence service.
Asking for some 80 million friends.
