Ukraine wants to be democratic

Be careful of the narrative floating around that the people of Ukraine wouldn't mind going back to Russia. When the Soviet Union crumbled, Ukraine voted over 90% to become an independent democratic country. The people held parties in the streets to celebrate.

It did take Ukraine a while to rid itself of pro-Russian leaders and I guess that was the straw that broke Putin's back.

Trump sure tried hard to keep Putin's pals in power in Ukraine.

Hoping Germany standing up and canceling Nordstream 2 will prevent an all out invasion.

3. Is saving democracy in Ukraine worth losing it

in the US? We are being warned of higher gas prices and more inflation. It will be like 1980 all over again when we got Reagan. Could we be doing exactly what Putin wants? What if he gets Trump or another Russian agent back in office?

5. I think Putin has us right where he wants between a

rock and a hard place. We are damned if we do damned if we don't. He cuts the gas supply off to Germany how long will it take him to stir up civil unrest there? What about in the US?

8. Honestly I agree that Putin wants this war to harm president Biden

and Democrats. I say the antidote is for Trump and his coup plotters to be held accountable, and soon. Trump and the GQP need to be made toxic to the American people, toxic to preserving our democracy.

Paying more at the pump is a problem. We have learned the selfishness of American's inconvenience turned into a major problem.

I'm not optimistic that Americans will rally around a country they can't find on a map.

some of us couldn't point out Canada on a map let alone Ukraine. The Republicans are going to stir up unrest here and elsewhere lke they did in Canada for practice.

what he does in Ukraine will affect the United States. We can fight him or appease him.
