Rick Scott GOP plan promises to outlaw race disclosures in any govt form, including the 2030 census

In an 11-point plan outlining the future agenda of the Republican Party, Sen. Rick Scott of Florida proposes banning all government collection of racial data.

The proposal would also remove all data on race from the US Census Bureau's next population count in 2030, a campaign representative for Scott told Insider.

Although Scott is the chairman of the National Republican Senatorial Committee — a fundraising organization tasked with helping elect GOP candidates to the Senate and reelecting incumbents — the memo is not an official NRSC document, according to Politico.

It's a notable move for Scott given that GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has decided not to release a GOP policy agenda going into the 2022 midterms.

OK... So first, there is only one thing anyone ever HAS to answer on a census form and that is how many people live there... That is it.

Repugs want to promote this idea as ""color blind equality"... What a load of horseshit. What, you ask is the data used for? Well, lets see:

Reasons for Collecting Information on Race
Information on race is required for many Federal programs and is critical in making policy decisions, particularly for civil rights. States use these data to meet legislative redistricting principles. Race data also are used to promote equal employment opportunities and to assess racial disparities in health and environmental risks.

This is nothing more than trying to maintain... Nay, increase white privilege and promote the rights white supremacist agenda.

Political gerrymandering is not.

That tells you all you need to know.

If they can't use race to their own advantage, it shouldn't be used for anything.
